Attending a Destination Wedding as a Guest
Well, if you have ever considered having a destination wedding and getting away from dready old Blighty be sure to read the destination guides on Jamaica and St Lucia, but what if you have been invited to a destination wedding as a guest?
We have sent our roving reporter off to Jamaica to investigate what is it like being a guest at a destination wedding!
We have sent our roving reporter Tasha off to Jamaica to investigate what is it like being a guest at a destination wedding!
It is a tough job, but someone has to do it! Tasha is currently deep under cover at a secret location in Jamaica awaiting the arrival of the bride and groom this weekend. But before she gets too entrenched in her holiday investigation, she managed to contact HQ and give a us sneak preview!
Before even getting to the airport, let alone a beach, we had to book our excursions with the very authentic sounding ‘Yardie Tours‘.

Before even getting to the airport, let alone a beach, we had to book our excursions with the very authentic sounding ‘Yardie Tours‘. Tours only needed to be booked a min of two days prior but just in case we were had to pay for internet use at the hotel (which I later found out that you did!) we thought we had better not be backward in coming forward, and prebook before we left the UK. You only needed to pay a small deposit and the rest was payable in cash on the day. There are no refunds once booked however. The selection was great, ranging from a simple shopping trip to a day out at Dunn’s River Falls! We’ve booked both – sure we can fit them in around the wedding!
