Fireworks at Weddings
Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot…
There is nothing more exciting than watching a fireworks display! Even more exciting is not having to wait till Bonfire Night, but having one at your wedding!
Before hiring a company to provide a bespoke display of fireworks, check that the wedding venue is suitable for fireworks and that ‘house rules’ allow for this.
Check where your guests will be able to stand to view the fireworks safely. Will your guests be warm enough outside? Will the children be safe, and not able to run off and get lost in the grounds of the venue? As fireworks are best viewed once it is dark, a summer wedding will mean that the fireworks will be held late on in the evening and some guests (especially those with children!) may have started to leave by then. Daytime fireworks may also be an option, and are increasingly popular for corporate events.
If your venue has restriction on noise, consider silent or low noise fireworks – for instance it is illegal to set off fireworks after 11pm (1am on New Year’s Eve!).
If having indoor fireworks, make sure that floral displays are of the appropriate height and guests cannot touch them and move around and knock them over.
Sparklers can be dangerous for children or adults that may have had too much to drink, so make sure they are well supervised or consider not having any sparklers at all.
