Winter Wedding Dress Inspiration
You can’t help but notice that not only is it dark by 4pm, the weather temperature is dropping. If you are planning a winter wedding, here is some wedding dress inspiration taken from the current Autumn/Winter collections.
If you loved the Royal Wedding back in April, Alfred Angelo has a wedding dress inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress. The lace sleeves will keep the chill off your arms at least from the moment you step from the car into your wedding venue. Another alternative is to go for a cover up – this pleated net cape is a modern alternative to the classic fur wrap featured at many a winter wedding.

If you don’t quite want to cover your arms with a long sleeved bolero, another alternative is to have a high necked wedding gown covering your your décolleté. Or radically forgo a wedding dress all together and opt for a trouser or jumpsuit!

The colour white reflects all colours and heat, so if you want to feel warmer, perhaps go for a daring black or red wedding dress! Floor length dresses with fuller skirts with lashings of appliqued tulle will also feel warmer on your legs!

Marchesa – Fall 2012
This Alberta Ferretti Bead Embellushed Tulle Top from Net a Porter would be perfect to wear under a strapless gown to add a layer of warmth.
Or team your knee length/tea length dress with a pair of tights either in white or your theme’s colours in keeping with this season’s block colour trend.
Floaty fabrics trap pockets of air so consider long draping and floating fabrics like this Grecian inspired Matthew Williamson wedding dress at Net A Porter (above) or Marchesa gown (below) .
Wow ! I don’t know what I love more, the beautiiful LBD or the super stylish trousers. Both are stunning in different ways !
