How to eat Chin Chin

How to eat chin chin…. I guess everybody knows how to eat chin chin! No sooner than the bowl is on the table – it is gone in 0-60 seconds!

However for those who would like the recipe anyway here are the ingredients.

1.2kg flour
450g butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
240ml water
250ml milk
10 tbsp sugar
oil for frying

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl into a dough. Tip the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Roll out to about 2cm thick then cut into squares 2cm by 2cm in size.

Add oil to a large pan or wok to a depth of about 4cm. When the oil is hot place a handful of the cubes in the oil and fry until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper. Continue till all the chin is fried. Serve immediately.
